This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position Reports To

Business Manager - E2E

You will be an integral part of the global Robotics Division and a key contributor to the Cluster’s overall success. You will drive profitable growth initiatives across multiple market segments while fostering a strong customer focus and a continuous quality improvement culture within the Cluster. You will lead the Robotics Eastern Europe Cluster, including direct management of the Business Line Industries, and provide oversight of the Automotive Business Line and Robotics Customer Service. You will work closely with all Business Line leaders to ensure aligned execution and sustainable, profitable growth across the Cluster.

Your Responsibilities

  • General Management & Strategic Leadership: Drive Cluster strategy in alignment with global objectives to drive sustainable growth. Own strategic decisions and resource allocation to optimize performance across all business lines.
  • Financial Stewardship & P&L Accountability: Take full ownership of cluster P&L. Ensure financial discipline, profitability targets, cost optimization and capital allocation effectively.
  • Organizational Leadership & Talent Development: Build, lead, and develop high-performing leadership teams. Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and develop organizational capabilities aligned with business strategy.
  • Strategic Growth & Market Positioning: Identify and develop high-potential market segments to strengthen the cluster’s competitive position. Pursue selective growth opportunities aligned with cluster capabilities and profitability targets.
  • Business Performance & Operational Excellence: Optimize operational efficiency, productivity, and cross-functional collaboration. Drive quality improvements and process optimization while maintaining customer satisfaction and safety standards.
  • Governance, Compliance & Fiduciary Responsibility: Serve on boards of legal entities within the cluster. Ensure proper governance, compliance with company and regulatory standards, and fiduciary responsibility across business lines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; MBA preferred; commitment to continuous learning and self-development, with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and market dynamics
  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience with full P&L responsibility in automation, robotics, or industrial environments, demonstrating strategic thinking and disciplined execution of complex business strategies
  • Strong track record in general management roles, leading multi-country, matrix organizations, including governance oversight, compliance responsibility, and fiduciary leadership
  • Proven ability to drive profitable growth and business transformation, balancing commercial excellence with operational efficiency and long-term value creation
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level
  • Willingness to travel internationally and strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
