Job Description
As a Software Engineer you will use your knowledge of the discipline, of the processes and of the engineering tools to help Honeywell (Fire Division) deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside more experienced engineers. You will contribute to the development of the next generation of Honeywell products in the field of fire systems and sensors, by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a highly committed group of professionals who deliver expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programmes. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

Responsibilities
- Project planning and execution (software design and debugging, schematic design support).
- Assistance in product software certification at the approving entities.
- Consultation of suppliers for research of software components.
- Follow internal design standards and execute tasks on time.
- Proposal of technical improvements.
- Presentation and participation in the project risk analysis (FMEA).
- Degree in Engineering or similar in technical-scientific area.
- At least two years of experience in software programming.
- Good will and desire to get involved.
- Good ability to work in a team.
- Problem solving.
- Desire to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
- Good knowledge of electrical measuring instruments.
- Good command of Italian and English languages.
- Knowledge of C/C++/C# language
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jira, Git, GitHub)
- Additional valuable skill: experience in software development.
- Fieldwork experience.
- Understanding of a variety of programming languages and software design specifications.
- Ability to complete challenging tasks by applying advanced software design methods and tools
- Experience in developing both wired and wireless communication software.
- Experience in firmware design of sensors and low power applications.
- Ability to provide optimal solutions at low cost.
- Ability to make correct and timely decisions.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex messages to diverse audiences.
- Ability to follow guidelines and deliver results.
- Experience of development with FreeRTOS applications
