About The Role & Team
The Italian Categories team is focused on growing eBay’s presence in the Collectibles space by aligning supply with market demand and improving the end-to-end experience for buyers and sellers.
As Category Manager for Collectibles, you will be pivotal in driving category performance by translating market needs into effective sourcing strategies, engaging with diverse Seller portfolios and enhancing the customer B2C and C2C experience. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Shipping, and Global Business Unit partners.

About The Role & Team
The Italian Categories team is focused on growing eBay’s presence in the Collectibles space by aligning supply with market demand and improving the end-to-end experience for buyers and sellers.
As Category Manager for Collectibles, you will be pivotal in driving category performance by translating market needs into effective sourcing strategies, engaging with diverse Seller portfolios and enhancing the customer B2C and C2C experience. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Shipping, and Global Business Unit partners.
What You Will Accomplish
- Identify supply and demand opportunities using market insights and internal data, translating findings into plans that drive growth and market share
- Build and refine assortment strategies to expand and optimise selection, improving discoverability, GMV, and buyer satisfaction
- Partner with local and global teams on seller acquisition, account management, and targeted marketing and PR initiatives
- Develop relationships with key industry participants to enhance services and offerings for buyers and sellers
- Collaborate with Product and Global Business Unit teams to shape and launch features that improve the user experience
- Plan and execute a year-round site merchandising calendar aligned to key trading moments and seasonal events
- Track and analyse category performance metrics to inform decisions and represent the Collectibles category internally and externally
- Experience in, or a strong demonstrated passion for, the Collectibles market (e.g. trading cards, coins, toys, etc)
- First-hand experience buying or selling trading cards on eBay or similar platforms
- Ability to analyse data, generate insights, and translate them into clear actions
- Strategic thinking with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken), with willingness to travel as needed
