THE POSITION

The Assistant Concierge assist Concierge in his daily and night operations, handling guest requests in a friendly and caring manner and organizing and leading the concierge team in order to ensure adherence to the hotel standards and procedures.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform nightly auditing procedures , ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily transactions;
• Welcome guests upon check in and bid farewell upon check out;
• When the concierge is absent, answer all incoming emails from guests, potential guests and external visitors;
• Handle messages, mails and parcels addressed to guests and assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure;
• When the concierge is absent, assist guests in their external activities (including, but not limited to: taxi reservations, gondola tours, boat rides, restaurant reservations, tickets for theatres, concerts, museums, exhibitions etc.);
• Collect Guests’ purchases in shops and buy tickets or any item requested for them;
• Assist guests while embarking or disembarking at the hotel pier; ensure that the peer is always clean and in good order;
• When the concierge is absent, organise and manage taxis and transfers in & out for guests;
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and caring manner, providing/receiving information and taking appropriate actions;
• Report to duty punctually wearing the correct uniform, clean and well pressed, and nametag, according to the grooming standards of the hotel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a similar position in 5* properties/international hotels;
• Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written. Any additional language is beneficial;
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills and proactive approach;
• Working knowledge of Opera Cloud is beneficial.
