Job Description

To support a new business development project within the Aviation & Defense sectors, we are looking for a Sales Manager / Business Developer with solid experience in Defense and Aerospace environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities within the Defense & Aviation sectors, with a primary focus on the Defense market and a dedicated component related to scouting and business development activities in the Aviation sector.

The role will work closely with management and technical teams to identify opportunities, build strategic relationships, and support business growth at a national level.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Defense sector
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision-makers within strategic clients
  • Manage commercial prospecting activities and relationship network development
  • Promote engineering services and component development solutions
  • Drive cross-selling initiatives and support the development of transversal competencies
  • Build and consolidate strategic partnerships with major industry players and institutions
  • Collaborate with industrial and consulting partners to access new projects
  • Support the definition of commercial offers together with Project Leaders
  • Manage commercial negotiation activities
  • Conduct scouting and business development activities within the Aviation sector
  • Support partnership development and acquisition of new business opportunities
  • Manage relationships with clients and industry partners

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably in one of the following fields:  Aerospace Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    • At least 2–4 years of experience in commercial or business development roles within Defense, Aerospace / Aviation, Engineering Services
  • Experience managing complex clients and structured industrial environments
  • Familiarity with commercial dynamics in military or aerospace sectors
  • Strong commercial attitude and networking skills
  • Excellent negotiation and proposal development capabilities
  • Dynamic and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in projects under development and growth phases
  • Availability for frequent business travel across Italy (30–50%)

Languages

  • Italian: C1/C2 level
  • English: C1 level
  • German: nice to have

In line with our compensation policies, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position lies within the range € 45.000 - €60.000 for a 40-hour work week.  

The remuneration package also includes:

  • An individual performance-related bonus
