Role Description
To strengthen our Project Management organization, we are looking for a Project Manager with proven experience in managing complex technical projects within a structured industrial environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the full execution of projects, acting as the single point of contact both internally and towards the customer, and ensuring alignment with contractual, technical, and organizational requirements. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project risks, and ensuring delivery in terms of safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with Production, Engineering & Design, Purchasing, Suppliers, Service, and other departments to ensure effective and successful project delivery from contract validation through commissioning and handover.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for project execution from contract validation through commissioning and start-up at the customer site (time, cost, quality/performance).
Act as the single point of contact for the customer, managing communication, correspondence, and meetings according to the project communication plan.
Lead and coordinate the project team in all phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
Develop and maintain the project plan, ensuring continuous monitoring and updates.
Manage project risks, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, monitoring, and regular reporting.
Coordinate all project activities and clearly define responsibilities, task boundaries, and decision-making authority across the departments involved.
Ensure compliance with budget, contractual milestones, and quality requirements, including proper documentation.
Introduce and ensure the correct use of company and project-specific procedures, tools, and templates.
Coordinate monthly internal and customer project status reports.
Support the management of claims, disputes, and negotiations with customers and subcontractors.
Initiate and manage engineering milestones such as design freeze, reviews, and approvals.
Collaborate with Purchasing to prepare procurement plans and monitor supply chain activities (purchasing, supply control, logistics).
Ensure all HSE contractual requirements are identified, reviewed, and properly implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage escalation processes internally when critical decisions are required.
Ensure completion of all contractual obligations, including guarantees, and support project closing activities.
Oversee final project closure, including lessons learned documentation and feedback to the organization.
Coordinate warranty activities, open item tracking, and ensure a smooth handover to the Service organization.
Required Skills
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent); a Master’s degree is a plus.
At least 2 years of experience in project management or leadership roles in technical or industrial environments.
Good knowledge of project management processes; familiarity with ANDRITZ PM processes is considered a plus.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
Availability for occasional business travel.
