Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role you will ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the business. Executes assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.

Role

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to meet current and future business requirements. Actively supporting alignment between local procurement activities, South Europe Region and division strategy.
• Conducting assessments and identifying areas for improvement in the production of our existing supplier base. Exploring new suppliers and developing strategies for ensuring strategic diversification of sourcing and competitiveness and quality of materials
• Collaborating with internal teams to consolidate actions and forecasts for cost reduction, contributing to continuous improvement in operational efficiency. Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Tracking the procurement processes and activities, creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards. Resolving issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery in their assigned area.
• Tracking internal and external suppliers’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues, and implements related development actions. Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products
• Shipping documents preparation, coordination with couriers and forwarders for shipments by road, by air and by sea. Checking of import-export custom declarations (hs code, origin, tax base)
• Supporting for the classification of purchased goods, software and technology that ABB exports or imports according to national and international export control and customs lists. Supporting for ensuring compliance with EU regulations, shipping regulations and company policies.
  
  

Qualifications For The Role

• You have a Bachelor's degree
• You have 2+ years of experience in similar positions such as procurement specialist or similar roles.
• Previous experience in logistic industry is a plus
• You have a good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
• You possess problem solving abilities and negotiation skills
• You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.
  
  

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 39.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
