Join CEVA AIR&OCEAN ITALY S.P.A. as a Forwarding Management Intern Apprentice within our Ocean division, based in Ancona. This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics industry, particularly focusing on ocean freight forwarding. You will be part of a dynamic team within Ocean Operations, contributing to the efficient coordination and management of freight shipments across international routes.
As an intern apprentice, you will develop a thorough understanding of the operational frameworks, customs regulations, and documentation requirements that govern global ocean freight movements. You will support senior forwarding managers and colleagues in organizing shipments, tracking cargo statuses, liaising with clients, carriers, customs officials, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating ocean freight shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, adhering to company standards and customer expectations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the smooth processing of shipping documentation, customs clearance, and cargo handling.
Support in monitoring shipment progress and proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery timelines.
Gain familiarity with logistics software systems and databases used for tracking and reporting freight operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise processes within the forwarding management function.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipment details, invoices, and correspondence to support operational transparency and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field.
Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under supervision.
Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of international trade terms and customs formalities is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with logistics software is appreciated but not mandatory.
