WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Footwear Technician who brings advanced footwear craftsmanship, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional product quality. You thrive in a hands-on environment and have a deep understanding of footwear assembly processes, materials, tooling, and manufacturing techniques. You are confident working across all phases of footwear construction—from lasting and pressing through finishing—while maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical capabilities with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You work effectively with cross-functional partners, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and are motivated by supporting the creation of high-performance football footwear. A passion for sport, attention to detail, and a commitment to athlete-focused excellence are essential for success in this role.
Key Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of footwear assembly processes, including lasting, pressing, bonding, and finishing.
Proficiency operating specialized footwear machinery, including toe-lasting and side-lasting equipment.
Strong understanding of footwear lasts, adhesives, materials, and construction techniques.
Italian language proficiency required; English language skills preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Senior Footwear Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized football footwear solutions for some of Nike’s most elite athletes. You will combine craftsmanship, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving to modify, refine, and create products that meet unique athlete performance needs while upholding Nike’s highest standards of quality and innovation.
You will collaborate with Athlete Services, Product Creation, Engineering, Development, and Manufacturing partners to deliver customized footwear solutions for elite football athletes.
You will apply your expertise in footwear assembly, lasting, pressing, finishing, materials, adhesives, and construction techniques to create and modify high-performance products.
You will identify and implement product modifications that address the unique fit, comfort, and performance requirements of athletes.
You will troubleshoot technical and process-related challenges, developing effective solutions within demanding timelines.
You will support critical athlete initiatives and key brand moments by ensuring products are prepared, validated, and delivered to the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.
You will contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing technical knowledge, supporting continuous improvement, and helping elevate team capabilities.
You will manage product and component inventory while maintaining operational excellence in a dynamic, athlete-focused environment where precision and adaptability are essential.
The annual base salary for this position generally ranges from €40.200,00 to €60.300,000. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
