ABOUT THE ROLE


Vivienne Westwood is currently looking for a Responsibility Specialist to join the team in our Milan office and support the Italian and French branches.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Ensuring credible and accurate claims on our external comms channels relating to sustainability e.g. social media, press releases, website, swing tags etc. in line with legislation.

  • Coordination of seasonal heart tags (product hangtag) connected to all materials across relevant product lines, verifying copy and relevance for each collection,

  • Ensuring all teams are updated on our internal Green Claim Tone of Voice, Sourcing Guidelines for product and packaging or similar documents and monitor appropriate use and update, based on new legislation and industry best-practice.

  • Act as main reviewer of copy and text for ESG reporting and similar documents, in line with Green claims and Tone of Voice.

  • Requesting and consolidating seasonal sustainability documents for each new collection (all lines), including material percentages and sustainability notes, which are to be prepared seasonally for training and communication purposes.

  • Collaborating with PD and Raw Materials to implement the preferred materials and where appropriate innovation strategy, including piloting innovative projects, researching fabric innovations, proposing material solutions across product categories, and reporting on seasonal innovative material usage within collections, through KPIs and percentages.

  • Providing support to the Compliance Legal Department in the implementation, monitoring and adoption of ESG regulations, assisting in bringing regulatory developments to the attention of the relevant departments and facilitating the assessment of their impact and required actions.

  • Building and maintaining a central database of innovative partners (especially for Italy and France) with ESG strong credentials, innovative materials, service providers and technologies, ensuring clear data management and monthly updates, to fulfil needs of internal departments in areas such as recycling, alternative materials, donations, repair, circular business models.

  • Ensure availability as referent person for all departments to feed into the abovementioned database

  • Reporting of goals and relevant data internally, and where appropriate, externally, including working with the digital team to keep the website and sustainability deck updated with relevant ESG content with support of press team.


PROFILE & KEY SKILLS



  • Previous experience (2-3 years) in sustainability, ESG, responsible sourcing, product sustainability or regulatory affairs, preferably within the fashion, luxury or retail sectors.

  • Previous experience with green claims, ESG communications and sustainability reporting is considered a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Native/fluent English speaker and Italian speaker; French language knowledge is considered a plus.

  • Proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
