Mission
The QHSE Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities across the organization, while also ensuring the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
The role aims to ensure full compliance with applicable HSE and Quality regulations, promote a strong safety culture, prevent risks for people, environment and assets, and support operational excellence and customer satisfaction throughout the business lifecycle.
The QHSE Specialist ensures that processes, practices and tools are implemented and continuously improved in line with international standards, Group requirements and customer expectations, with primary focus on HSE performance.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – Primary Responsibility
- Define, implement and continuously improve the HSE Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, Group HSE policies, and applicable legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with national and local HSE laws and regulations, acting as reference point for authorities, auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead risk assessments, hazard identification and preventive actions related to:
- Workplace safety
- Machinery and equipment
- Chemical and environmental risks
- Ergonomics and occupational health
- Promote and develop a strong safety culture through training, awareness campaigns and on-field presence.
- Define, deploy and monitor HSE KPIs, analyze incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead investigations of accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response, including drills, evacuation plans and crisis management support.
- Ensure environmental compliance concerning:
- Waste management
- Emissions
- Energy consumption
- Environmental impact reduction initiatives
- Coordinate HSE audits (internal and external) and ensure timely closure of findings and non-conformities.
- Actively support operational teams and managers on HSE topics, ensuring HSE is embedded in daily operations and decision-making.
2. Quality Management & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, Group Quality standards and customer-specific requirements (PCI,CQM, Bancomat, etc.).
- Support General Quality Assurance activities to ensure processes, products and services meet defined requirements.
- Ensure internal procedures are kept updated following organizational or operational changes.
- Manage customer quality relationships, acting as Point of Contact for quality issues, complaints and feedback.
- Ensure customer complaints are properly managed:
- Coordination of analysis
- Root cause investigations
- Corrective actions
- Feedback to customers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction indicators, providing structured reporting to Management.
- Manage third-party and customer audits:
- Audit preparation and coordination
- Audit execution support
- Corrective action plan management
- Certification maintenance
- Conduct supplier audits and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
3. Integrated QHSE Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure full integration of HSE and Quality processes into the Corporate QHSE Management System.
- Promote a risk-based approach across operations, projects and support functions.
- Provide QHSE data, analysis and reporting to Management, supporting informed decisions.
- Actively support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring QHSE aspects are fully integrated.
Minimum Requirements – Skills, Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Quality Engineering or related technical field (industrial, mechanical, chemical, production, electronics).
- 3–5 years of experience in a QHSE, HSE or Quality role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
- Proven experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; ISO 9001 knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Quality tools (Inspection & Test Plans, audits, non-conformity management).
- Ability to perform hands-on analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving in operational environments.
- Strong attitude towards safety, prevention and continuous improvement.
