Collaborate with the best
The Engineering Specialist - Customer Application Engineering, with Reciprocating Compressor Application, leads the technical strategy of our offering in agreement with the project team/functions. They are the main technical interface with the customer during the Inquiry To Order (ITO) phase. The key role of the job holder is to translate the customer’s needs into the most compelling technical solution leveraging RC product portfolio and technology.

Responsibilities, authorities, accountabilities:

As Engineering Specialist - Customer Application Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the preparation and management of technical proposal relevant to Reciprocating Compressor applications with a critical approach to maximize value proposition for Customer.
• Lead the definition of the technical strategy of the project thus influencing Customer towards Baker Hughes solutions.
• Take care of the estimation/accuracy of the budget associated with the proposed solution.
• Prepare, within the required timeline, the most compelling technical proposal at first submission.
• Apply product and quality policies, addressing, and mitigating any residual risk as per Baker Hughes procedures.
• Lead the technical negotiation, coordinating with supporting functions and attending to meeting/presentation with Customer.
• Hand over the technical contract to execution team in case of award in the smoothest way achievable.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Have experience in Engineering, Application Engineering, Product management, Customer Service, or equivalent technical role for 2+ yrs.
• Be fluent in English (spoken and written) with good communication skills.
• Have a willingness to work on stretched deadlines with flexible time management.
• Be available to travel at short notice.
• Capability to work in team and ability to take decisions independently.
• Be very open to work in multicultural teams and be open-minded.

Desired Characteristics

• Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
• Previous experience in Reciprocating Compressor technology/market would be an appreciated plus.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,200 To 59,400. he provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
