Help Shape the Future of Chemical Manufacturing

If you're a chemical engineer who enjoys solving complex process challenges, improving plant performance, and turning data into practical solutions, this could be the opportunity you're seeking.

As a Process Engineer at our Latina site, you'll play a central role in optimising manufacturing processes across multiple production plants. Your work will directly influence safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. You'll collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and EHS teams to improve how things work today while helping build the processes of tomorrow.

This is a role where technical expertise meets real operational impact.

About the Role

You'll be part of the Lubricant Additives business and report directly to the Head of Operations.

The position covers both LAB (Naugalubes) and SIG production processes across four manufacturing plants at our Latina site. You'll act as a key technical partner for operations, supporting process optimization, troubleshooting, process safety initiatives, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement projects.

Alongside day-to-day operational support, you'll contribute to longer-term improvements through digital tools, process development initiatives, and the introduction of new technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

Drive Process Performance

You'll help improve manufacturing performance by:

  • Monitoring process capability, productivity, yields, and material consumption
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, batch cycle times, and energy usage
  • Analyzing operational data and translating insights into practical improvements
  • Supporting troubleshooting activities and resolving technical process issues

Lead Continuous Improvement

You'll have a visible role in helping the site continuously improve by:

  • Optimizing process parameters
  • Supporting equipment upgrades and process modifications
  • Driving Change Management (MoC) activities for process changes
  • Applying continuous improvement methodologies and digital tools
  • Contributing to reliability improvement initiatives alongside Maintenance and Engineering teams

Support Safe and Reliable Operations

You'll help ensure manufacturing processes operate safely, consistently, and compliantly by:

  • Participating in HAZOP studies and process safety assessments
  • Supporting environmental, quality, industrial hygiene, and safety initiatives
  • Contributing to audits and compliance activities
  • Supporting investigations, corrective actions, and customer complaint follow-up where required

Develop and Implement New Solutions

You'll be involved in projects that shape the future of the site by:

  • Supporting commissioning and start-up of new equipment
  • Coordinating process tests, validation campaigns, and technical studies
  • Developing process documentation, operating procedures, and process manuals
  • Contributing to plant design modifications and future investments
  • Supporting DCS logic development, control strategies, and operational sequences

Share Knowledge Across the Organisation

You'll help strengthen technical expertise throughout the site by:

  • Training operators on process updates and operating procedures
  • Maintaining technical documentation
  • Collaborating with global process engineering, R&D, and production teams
  • Sharing best practices across the international LAB network

Work Experience
